Job description
Role Purpose:The Business Development Manager (BDM) will have the key responsibility of managing remotely and proactively developing relationships with a panel of brokers for who, following the commercial strategies of the Branch, a reference commercial resource is not currently assigned. This role requires a proactive commitment to increasing engagement and productivity with these partners, contributing significantly to the development and growth of our overall business (online and offline). The role requires an in-depth understanding of our online sales platform, Ignite, to properly direct business generation opportunities in accordance with the minimum premium strategy implemented by the Branch. The BDM has the responsibility to develop a panel of brokers:- they develop a long-term relationship with panel brokers by meeting their needs and offering unique services;- they build a clear understanding of the overall portfolio under management of each broker. - they distribute Chubb products using Ignite as priority, and with all possible forms of remote communication;- they ensure that production objectives are met; - they will support the communication of new products/new releases to the market to reinforce the relationship with the brokers;- they conduct broker research to understand our target audience and their needs. Key Responsibilities1. Broker Management• Generating revenue and meet set financial target by the Branch through new business activities. Contributing to the growth of the existing Chubb relationships, in alignment with required pipeline goals and sales objective for the Commercial Lines in the Branch. • Being responsible for the development and maintenance of productive relationships with a panel of brokers identified. This will include regular management of remote interactions, responding to broker needs, and ensuring brokers are kept informed about products and services through:o Trainings/Webinarso Commercial presentationso Accompanying the Broker in relevant business development activities• Communicating with the market regarding new product launches or releases. This means executing launch plans in collaboration with Marketing Department, communicating key product features, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. • Having a good knowledge of the online/offline insurance market, current players, untapped areas, and growth opportunities. Having a clear vision on our competition to understand what works best and how to connect with our audience. • Maximizing the knowledge of the assigned brokers by implementing broker profiling, detailing the size of the broker, the size of their respective clients, premium written etc. • Recommending specific brokers where the growth or renewal opportunity justifies a closer / face to face management with the branch broker management team. • Taking over broker relationships from the Branch where the broker no longer justifies a face to face management. • Recommend brokers for which there is no perceived opportunity for growth and as such should be candidates to be culled. • Have a clear vision of Chubb’s risk appetite, line of business sweet spot and cross sell opportunities. • Maximize the use of Ignite platforms by brokers. • Ensure X-selling activity within the Online and Offline products. 2. Production support• Being accountable for the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to increase engagement and productivity with brokers. This may include identifying new business opportunities, creating promotional initiatives. • Maintaining and develop a thorough understanding of the broker market and industry trends, using this information to inform business development strategies and to identify growth opportunities. • Advising on the development of new products and services based on the insights gained from the data analysis. • Choosing business lines that match our strengths and skills, allowing us to deliver high-quality services. 3. Other • Product development: Ensure the products are on market conditions. Always look for product improvements that could give us competitive advantages and improve quoting process. • Look for ways to optimize conversion and user-friendliness on the online platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
