Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Security Architect to join our dynamic Core network engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network security infrastructure.

The Network Security Architect will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems and data against potential threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Network Security Design :

• Develop and implement comprehensive network security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, VPNs, NetFlow and other security technologies.
• Design and deploy security solutions to protect against advanced threats and vulnerabilities.

Security Policy and Compliance :

Define and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational requirements.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Incident Response and Investigation :

• Lead incident response activities in the event of a security breach, coordinating with cross-functional teams to contain and mitigate the impact.
• Conduct post-incident analysis and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Work closely with other IT teams, including network, systems, and application teams, to integrate security measures into overall IT architecture.
• Communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Emerging Technologies and Threat Landscape :

• Stay abreast of the latest security technologies, industry trends, and threat intelligence to proactively identify and address emerging risks.
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

Required Experience / Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Security Architect or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with firewall, VPN, IDS / IPS, and other security technologies.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Experience / Qualifications :

Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security) is a plus.

• Network Architecture and Design : Knowledge of the process, tools and methods for network architecture and design; ability to capture requirements and translate them into blueprints for wireline, wireless and hybrid network infrastructure.
• Network Engineering : Knowledge of the processes, tools, and technologies for network engineering; ability to utilize and manage these for planning, designing, construction and support of wireline and wireless networks.
• Telecom Platforms and Technologies : Knowledge of the architecture of various telecom platforms; ability to manage technologies and systems for providing telecommunications networks and services.
• Telecom Product Development : Knowledge of telecom product development; ability to manage the process of enhancing existing or developing new telecom products and services.
• Virtualization Services : Knowledge of the issues, regulations, business practices, and operations of virtualization services;

ability to create and support a virtual environment that separates the physical infrastructure from the logical processing.
