Purpose of Position

The Finance Project Manager is responsible for supporting the CFO and Finance Leadership team by overseeing and coordinating projects within our Finance organisation. The main responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating resources, monitoring milestones, ensuring compliance, and providing regular reports to stakeholders. The role plays a critical role in driving financial initiatives, optimising financial processes, and achieving project goals within established timelines and financial parameters and will lead the Tech project of our Financial transformation.

Key Tasks

• Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives driven by the CFO and Finance leadership team.
• Coordinate and manage internal finance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams involved in the relevant projects.
• Prepare project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered within established deadlines.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to the CFO and Finance leadership team.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making related to the assigned projects.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives within the Finance function.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements, define scope, and establish project objectives.
• Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to the CFO and Finance leadership team on project status, outcomes, and recommendations.

Skills & Expertise

• Solid experience in project management, especially within projects with different technical teams
• Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and execute project plans, monitor progress, and deliver results within established timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Project Management experience within the Finance, or knowledge of financial/FP&A processes and practice is an advantage
• Solutions- and goal-oriented approach.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project deliverables.
• Ability to proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Problem-solving skills to address challenges and find practical solutions.
• Analytical skills to analyse financial data or provide project-based ROIs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including the CFO and Finance leadership team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, e.g. Asana.
• BI knowledge would be a plus
• Experience with D365 would be a plus
