Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forests looking over the fishing town of Port Soller.

Its 121 spacious guestrooms and suites, all with private terrace or French balcony, enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea or views of the port and the impressive Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO Heritage site.

The hotel offers three restaurants, three bars, two swimming pools and our Talise Spa. The hotel is divided into eleven low-rise structures ensuring that visitors experience a truly exceptional and natural environment.

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Supervisor position to join our Housekeeping Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

- Oversee, train, and evaluate the performance of assigned
housekeepers, departmental trainers and house attendants ensuring
that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. Provide
lateral service where necessary in order to ensure the finest service
to guests.
- Verify status on room reports, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize
and update status of departing guestrooms.
- Attend daily quality line-ups as well as Housekeeping departmental
meetings.
- Ensure that employees comply and abide by the employee standards
of conduct at all times.
- Inspect supply levels, cleanliness and organization of floor closets
and assign designated employees to rectify any deficiencies.
- Verity accuracy of DNR rooms in accordance with hotel procedures.

Qualification and Experience:

- Previous Housekeeping experience as well guest/employee
relations training.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, use and requirements
or equipment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculation
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English with guests,
management and co-workers to their understanding.

Skills:

- Excellent level of English
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Ability to maintain hotel's standards, policies and procedures with
assigned staff.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work in addition to delegating work to
appropriate individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel
information and convey the same sense of confidentiality to all
employees.
- Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out certain
job functions when the situation permits.
