Job description

As a Test & Validation Engineer, you will work on verification, validation, and homologation aspects of new products (e.g., HV Battery, E/E components, BMS, etc.). You will manage the technical and organizational aspects in close coordination with Customers, Systems Engineers, Component Engineers, Project Managers, and test facilities.

What You Will Do

• Preparation of DVP for validation of prototypes and components
• Support the engineering team with the definition of Test Cases, Requirements and Acceptance Criteria for Test Objects, Functions and Systems
• Support reviewing test standards
• Plan test activities according to project needs and resources availability
• Design customized test set ups at Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic level
• Execute test experiments based on the requirements and objectives defined by the engineering team while making sure test data is properly acquired
• Execute Test data post-processing, analysis and generate test reports
• Use battery testing equipment such as cell/module/system cyclers, data loggers, climatic chambers, etc..

What You Need to Succeed

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Energy Engineering or similar
• At least 2 years ‘of professional working experience in similar role
• Experience with common electronic equipment (multimeter, insulation testers, oscilloscope, digital power supplies, electric loads, climatic chambers, Li-Ion technology equipment, etc.)
• Comfortable using CAN tools and handling .dbc files
• Proficiency in English required; proficiency in Spanish highly valued

Desirable skills

• Experience with Electrical Safety Standards, such R100
• Experience with handling Lithium-Ion Technology, at cell/module/pack levels
• Experience about Thermal Runaway events in Li-Ion cell/module/pack levels
• Software skill, using C/C++, Matlab, Python and such
