Job description

The role you’ll play

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in Valencia, Spain! Here you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy in all transactions within the company’s accounting, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

The team you’ll be a part of

You will be part of a dynamic, international and competent department located in 4 different offices across Europe. The position reports directly to the Accounting Director.

· Invoicing and payments to external vendors

· Bank reconciliations and consolidation

· Supporting accounts payables activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments

· Support accounts receivables activities (including collections) to ensure accuracy and timeliness of receipts entries and collections

· Tax preparation and reporting

· Transfer pricing calculations and postings

· Reconciliation of intercompany accounts

· Processing exchange rate adjustments

· Prepare accounting related entries to registers, journals and logs

· Follow (and implement) accounting processes and policies

· Research, understand and provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions

· Regularly review, maintain and provide support for detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts

· Collaboration in Financial Statements closing process for all companies of the Group

· Preparation of materials for year-end audits - assisting external auditors

 

In one year, you’ll know you were successful if…

· You have successfully taken responsibility on the trial balance and income statements

· You maintain a successful collaboration with Finance and Vendor management colleagues

· You’re identified improvement areas and implemented changes

What you’ll need to bring

· University Education in Accounting, Business, Economics or similar

· Accounting / Finance background

· Minimum 2 years of experience in the Finance, Accounting or Audit field

· Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

 

This will make you stand out

· Languages like Spanish, German, French, Danish or Swedish would be an advantage

· Proficient excel knowledge is a plus (pivots, formulas, macros)
