What you will do

Your mission will be divided into 2 roles:
1) Support Buyer for the Industrial Supplies portfolio 
2) Support Buyer for the Packaging portfolio

Your main tasks and activities: 
• Ensure the daily management of the indirect purchasing portfolios under your responsibility (orders/invoice dispute management/supplier negotiations/internal customer relations etc...)
• Collaborate with our local, regional or global counterparts and internal stakeholders to achieve the best results for Volvo in terms of cost, quality, delivery, technology while ensuring risk management and sustainability on our long-term contracts with our suppliers.
• Strengthen the competitiveness of the Volvo Group by understanding the business and market expectations of our suppliers.
• Manage and develop our supplier panel (categorization, segmentation, continuous performance evaluation...) while continuing to identify new suppliers in order to maintain the appropriate level of cooperation with our key suppliers.
• Negotiate to obtain optimal costs within your scope and manage Request for quotations. 
• Contribute to the achievement of regional KPI targets.
• Interact as the main contact with all stakeholders. Prepare and submit KPI development axes with them.
• Identify and drive the sharing of best practices within the Volvo Group (participate in internal and external network to benchmark...).
• Support and deploy a purchasing strategy in line with your commodities.

• A significant experience in purchasing 
• A strong appetite for negotiation 
• Fluent English, in line with the position's international activity.
• A keen sense of curiosity, dynamism and autonomy.
• Good communication skills, with a real understanding of cultural relations and differences (international team).
• Agility and flexibility, with priority management mindset 
• A good dynamic, you like challenging environments that will develop your skills
• Knowledge of project management in a purchasing environment
• Good IT skills (Office 365...) as well as knowledge of the TCO concept (Total Cost of Ownership)
• Proven perseverance, striving for continuous improvement and problem solving
• Good team spirit, you enjoy working in a multicultural environment and interacting with all company’s departments.
