About the role

Join our dynamic team of 7 skilled Data Scientists and Data Engineers within Novartis Spain, where agility and innovation thrive!

Collaborate with us in leveraging commercial data to develop cutting-edge AI products, revolutionizing the landscape of the company.

Key responsibilities:
• Translate business questions into analytical problems and devise solutions utilizing machine and deep learning, statistical modeling, and visualization techniques.
• Implement cutting-edge algorithms, methods, statistical models, and business models to gain insights from both structured and unstructured data.
• Rapidly assimilate and experiment with various tools, data sources, and analytical methodologies to address critical business inquiries and enhance existing processes.
• Deliver clear and meaningful business intelligence to key stakeholders.
• Demonstrate expertise in one or more domains of data science and apply practical knowledge proficiently.
• Contribute to the development of innovative quantitative methods to optimize workflows and explore new analytical avenues.
• Provide support for diverse projects with defined scopes and actively participate in collaborative project leadership.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.

Role Requirements

Role Requirements:
• Demonstrate innovative thinking and the capability to lead product initiatives.
• You need to be able to work autonomously: either when leading your products as a product owner or when working on other colleagues’ products as a developer.
• Analytical thinking: You’ll need to translate business questions into data science solutions.
• We develop end-to-end products so you will need to:
o SQL knowledge: you will need to develop your own ETLs.
o ML knowledge: regression, classification, clustering, recommenders, dimensionality reduction, etc.
o ML deployment experience.
• We will highly value if you have experience in:
o MLOps.
o Agile software development.
o Version control (git).
o CI/CD and container technologies (docker, Kubernetes).

Essential requirements:
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or in a quantitative field
• At least 6 years of relevant experience
• Academic experience in a multidisciplinary data & analytics environment or in research
• Experience in predictive modeling and large data analysis
• Experience in statistical/analytics tools such as Python or big data technologies for machine learning
• Expertise in at least a visualization tool like Power BI, Streamlit, or Tableau for crafting insights.
• A track record of innovating through machine learning, databases and statistical algorithms and their applications. Hands-on experience with data mining, its concepts, techniques and implementation.
• Fluent English (written and verbal)

Desirable requirements:
Business proficient in Spanish (written and spoken)
