Our client, a leading global IT service provider, is recruiting for a BSS SME / Solution Designer to join their business in Spain. Position Title: BSS SME / Solution Designer Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Madrid, Spain Contact: Responsibilities: Review, interpret and respond to detailed user stories/ business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future Digital capabilities and the strategic plan Architecting and designing software solutions related to BSS solutions platforms. Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment Define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives including technology solutions and changes to service, process and/or operating models Develop and implement technology solutions to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes Design and delivery projects from inception through functional analysis of user stories/requirements, the approval process for business case development, project execution and operational handover to align technological solutions and transform the processes and systems to meet emerging business requirements Collaborate with business units and technical experts to develop solutions that meet user stories/ business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability Resolving escalated support requests for existing environments Providing recommendations and best practices to the engineering teams Qualifications: Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related area or equivalent experience 10+ years of total software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years of architecture/system design experience Must be Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written). Experience working in telecom service providers is added advantage Demonstrable experience with implementing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices Proficient in Java, including open source frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, and object-oriented design principles and patterns Experience with SQL and relational/NoSQL databases like MySQL, DynamoDB, Hbase, Redis Familiarity with popular message middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. Experience designing or building BSS platforms would be desirable. Experience integrating with third party BSS platforms like Apple App Store, Google, AWS BSS etc would also suffice and would be a big plus. Experience integrating with third party billing, payment and tax providers, Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure like AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP Experience with SaaS Billing, Taxation, Payments, Rating, Provisioning and Reports development is a plus.
