Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Customer Focused Sales Execution and Delivery of Business Results
- Ensure sell in and sell out targets in large accounts.
- Work with marketing to develop locally strategy and brand plans in order to achieve business goals
- Monitor, evaluate and act on sales deviations on product or partner level, and develop corrective actions.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with customers and key influencers to promote the Elanco brand and business goals.
- Drive Elanco customer value selling skills programs at distributor level to monitor efficiency and optimize the capacity of 3rd party sales force.
- Identify opportunities and implement plans to grow Elanco market share (plan, execute and achieve market share growth).
- Partner with marketing to drive market intelligence initiatives (monitor industry trends, competitor products and activities, customer, field and competitive intelligence)
- Monitor and track business results, adapt approach and strategies as appropriate. Feedback into marketing and other functions for input and support.
Sales Targeting and Market Intelligence
- Targeting and inputs into segmentation in brand plans to identify which customers will deliver results, develop Key Accounts by customer
- Deliver customer goals from brand plan roll out
- Customer experience delivery and feedback into marketing planning
Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
Education/Experience:
- Degree level either life science or business qualification. Veterinary Science as a plus.
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales within the Animal Health Industry

- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
- Leadership skills.
- Strong Communication skills: verbal, written with fluency in English.
Business Capabilities
- Veterinary business knowledge (disease management, economics and profitability): Recognized as a value adding business partner by veterinarians.
- Product and disease knowledge: Recognized as expert on the market by vets.
- Ability to establish boardroom relationships with senior managers in Key Accounts and distributors.
- Product and non-product value creation: Ability to identify, plan, lead execution and capture product and non-product value projects.
- Sales performance history: Sales above team average and consistently achieving results.
Additional Preferences:
- Veterinary degree or Animal Health Science as a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales within the Animal Health Industry focus and key account managing experience
- English fluent required
Other Information:
- Located in Spain. Travel up to 60-70% is required regularly within Spain and occasionally Europe.
Flexibility to participate in evening and/or weekend business events.
