Job description
Position:
Senior Cost Controller - EPC projects
Controladores de Costes Senior para proyectos EPC.
Duties:
- Develop the procedure for measuring and monitoring the progress of the project, ensuring compliance with the applicable methodology,
- Cost analysis in relation to estimates, variances and budget,
- Collaborate with the construction and contracting teams in the preparation and reporting of progress curves and project tracking,
- Project cash flow control,
- Weekly and monthly project control reporting,
- Verification of completed work and preparation and approval of certifications,
- Support the management team in updating the final estimated cost of the project.
Knowledge of Project Controls. Including EVM (Earned Value Management), - Manage pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.,
- Estimate and cost plan to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents,
- Take responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations,
- Produce monthly post contract cost reports,
- Interface with the client and other consultants, at all project stages,
- Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes,
- Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
Profile:
- Effective problem-solving identifying potential issues, developing solutions, and implementing plans to address them.
Academic background:
- Engineering degree, ADE / Business or Accounting degree,
- Project Management training would be a plus.
Required profesional experience:
- At least 5 years of profesional experience in EPC projects.
Languages:
- Spanish, and English (a minim level of B2 is required).
Location:
- Madrid (Spain), in the city center.
Geographic mobility:
- Availability to travel and work at site, the initial EPC project location will be near Valladolid, but willing to then travel internationally later on.
