Position Overview
- The position will be working as part of the Global SAP Centre of Excellence
- Purpose of the position is to Lead FICO EMEA localization activities within our S/4 implementation project Connect PPG.
- This position requires in depth understanding of business processes related to S/4 Finance and Controlling, including integration with other modules (SD, MM, PP, etc.).
- Financial Accounting: FI customization, Configuration and testing in New G/L, Advanced Financial Closing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Credit Management, Bank Accounting, Multibank Connectivity, Cash Application, Taxes, Intercompany Process, Reporting, Fixed Assets Accounting and Project Systems in a complex business environment.
- Controlling Area with CCA, PCA, hierarchies, Allocations, Product Costing incl. Activity Based Costing, Reporting, Budgeting, Settlements, Profitability analysis, etc.
- Implementation of localization related to local tax and financial reporting requirements (e.g. SAF-T) for countries in EMEA (NL, DK, BE, FR, GE, ES, PL, IT, etc.)
- FIORI experience to support FIORI first/only strategy.
- Leading activities within FICO domain and across team members, including SI partner.
- In this role you will be required to implement business solutions based Global Template and based on requirements analysis/design.
- Propose, design or configure, document and test business solutions according to the functional and technical requirements adhering to SAP standard and our foundational template as closely as possible.
- You will liaise remotely with a number of your colleagues across the globe including onshore and offshore.
- There might be the opportunity to travel due to the scope of the role.
- Within SAP CoE Organization you will report to Global SAP FICO Stream Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze product owner feedback to drive and create user stories and requirements for the development team to action.
- Build strong and detailed acceptance criteria ensuring understanding of expectations across all team members.
- Work closely with SQAs to review and approve test cases and validate test results.
- Adapt and develop effective working relationships across a diverse team of multiple functional, technical, and business partners.
- Work with the members of the development team following scrum and Agile principles to ensure consistent delivery.
- Explain and communicate technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Utilize problem-solving skills for evaluating multiple approaches to find the most feasible solutions.
- Provide a high level of commitment to delivering high quality work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Utilize Azure DevOps as the source for project and development documentation to ensure efficiency.
- Assess, document, and manage requirements changes, improvements and enhancements
- Proactively Participate in processes improvement, sharing best practices and proactively suggesting improvement points.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Performance Achievements:
- You will be proactive in building excellent working relationships with both your IT colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Within 1 – 3 months you will prove yourself to be a self-starter who can quickly develop good understanding of S/4 template and build knowledge of our SBU processes in order to facilitate rapid solutioning.
- Within 3 months you will be required to evaluate the x-stream impact of any solutions proposed and ensure that SAP standard/our foundational S/4 template is adhered to as closely as possible.
- You will be expected to coach, lead, and support other members of the FICO project team in order to allow them to contribute fully on the project.
Requirements:
You’ll need to have:
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- A 4 year degree in Information Management, Computer Science or other business-related field is required.
- Min 10 years’ experience with strong process knowledge of SAP Finance Accounting & Controlling, understanding of AA, AR, AP, GL, Credit Management, FSCM, Cash Management/Treasury, Reporting and CO processes (incl. CCA, PCA, Product Costing, COPA, Allocations), as well as general SAP S/4 knowledge.
- Experience as a Senior Consultant role in numerous SAP implementations in SAP FICO domain.
- A commitment to delivering high quality work in pressurized environments and be a self-starter.
- An ability to work independently in a “remote working” organization.
Your knowledge of SAP must include:
- Deep understanding of S/4 FICO modules as well as the end-to-end business processes related to Financial domains (AR, AP, newGL, Asset Management, FSCM, Advanced Credit Management, Treasury incl. Bank interfacing and Cash application, Taxes, Allocations Intercompany Process Controlling CCA, PCA, PS, Product Costing, Budgeting, Settlements, COPA, Reporting, …).
- Extensive knowledge of SD / MM process integration to SAP FICO processes.
- In-depth experience in the process and functional design, configuration and trouble-shooting of SAP FICO modules with intra/cross company business flows part of a complex global supply chain distribution network.
- Implementation experience of localizations related to local tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of SAP Document & Reporting Compliance tool (eDocument, statutory reports)
- SAP FIORI
Preferred requirements:
- Understanding of connections to SAP cloud solutions.
- Experience using SAP Solution Manager toolset for managing changes, transports and incidents would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of ABAP and the ability to perform basic debugging.
- Experience in a Finance position.
- MBA is preferred.
