Reporting to Sinova’s Chief Technical Officer, You will lead the technical team of experts and support the work of others through developing their skills & implementing best practice. The Divisional Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving and maintaining engineering efficiency and operational performance in our factories by leading the engineering team of 10-15 team members. The role has a focus on providing support in the areas of process optimization and standardization essentially needed on-site to ensure an efficient operation, as well as technical expertise for investment projects and other consultancy frequently carried out on-site.

Key responsibilities

• The Divisional Engineering Manager will lead the Engineering team ensuring all business and departmental objectives and KPIs are achieved
• Develop a high performing team of technical experts for the different main technical applications within the operational activities of the Sinova division by training, coaching and providing learning opportunities for team members
• Maintain a network with external suppliers, institutions, research companies for technical exchange and knowledge transfer
• Initiates cross-functionally prioritised ideas and performs studies and optimisation projects to increase the overall performance of our operational processes incl. infrastructure concerning yield, energy efficiency, quality etc.
• Proposes new, more efficient or general better technologies .
• Performs basic and detail engineering, commissioning and start-up of new or modified installations.
• Ensures documentation and transformation of new technical experience and knowledge into standards and guidelines in order to share the technical and process knowledge within Sinova.
• CAPEX estimation, technology & process definition and selection.
• Works closely with Innovation department in order to help with the transformation of innovation ideas into technical solutions.
• Serves as a consultant of the operational sites and the operational leaders concerning all technical topics and questions

Please note that the role requires International travel of up to 60%

About You

To excel in this Divisional Engineering Manager role, you will need to demonstrate a history of operational and leadership experience within manufacturing environment. You will be able to evidence your impact on teams, as well as improving operational efficiency and delivering on projects.

You will be highly skilled leader with a coaching and developmental style, with a proven track record of building high performing teams, which are equipped to perform to their best

You lead by example and actively work to improve employee engagement and foster a positive, all-inclusive working environment

You use collaborative approach, able to work closely with colleagues across other departments to achieve business goals

Education and experience:

• Master’s degree / University study, ideally in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Biochemical, Automation, Food processing, Environmental etc.) but not obligatory
• 6 to 10 years experience in manufacturing companies
• Expertise in Technical / Process knowledge
• A fluent level of English is mandatory, other language(s) (especially Polish, Romanian, French or Spanish) will be appreciated.
