Core responsibilities:
- Supports and consults our internationally active business units and subsidiaries in all aspects of occupational safety, health protection and accident prevention
- Contributes to the development and implementation of corporate safety standards
- Drives the implementation of safety-related standardisation and optimisation projects at international group level
- Carries out internal safety-related inspections of operating facilities, equipment and operational processes
- Performs cause analysis of accidents as well as the effectiveness check of corrective and preventive measures
- Supports the internal engineering department in all aspects of occupational and plant safety within the scope of implementing technical projects in the sites
- Contributes to the development, collection and evaluation of specific key performance indicators
- Participates in international group safety meetings
- Implements and further develops occupational health and safety management systems
- Revises and creates existing, new training and occupational safety programmes
Education and experience:
- High education as a safety engineer or related studies, alternatively further education as a state certified technician with additional qualification as an expert for health and safety
- Two years or more professional experience in Health & Safety
- Additional knowledge in fire safety, explosion protection and DIN ISO 45001 desirable
Requirements
- Very good conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as a structured and independent way of working
- Very good interpersonal skills, especially in building connections with people from different cultures
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiar of the common MS office applications
- Driving licence class B
- Fluent English, written and spoken; further foreign language skills (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Polish) is an advantage
- International travel – depending on projects can be approximately up to 60-70%
