With a population of over 300 people these teams are a competitor leading, purpose built Global Hub, covering a multitude of Planning areas where we share best practice in a centralized and standard way to deliver industry leading service at best cost and the right level of inventory. THE ROLEThe Senior Planning Director is an active member of the Planning Leadership Team and leads an organisation of 40-60 people to deliver the Global Supply Chain strategy across the following areas:Material Supply Planning MSP: Working with Suppliers to ensure materials availability for site production, materials supply risk resolution and escalation, and materials inventory optimization. Material Supply Management MSM: Working with suppliers and procurement function to drive supplier capability and agility, long terms capacity planning and business continuity planning. Master Production Scheduling MPS: Working with plants on finished goods planning and scheduling, production capacity and volume control, and finished goods inventory optimization. New Product Development Planning NPD: Initiatives capacity assessment, Initiatives planning and coordination, PIPO Management. Risk Management and prioritization, initiatives execution and delivery at market level. Support and input to Supply Network Design projects. Distribution Requirements Planning DRP: Working with supply planning functions to ensure finished goods deployment and availability at the distribution centers, balancing service, cash, cost, and sustainability. Risk management and prioritization for base business and launches. Leading and driving communication with Market regarding supply availability. Category Supply Planning - Deliver annual glide paths and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in Inventory and Fill Rate. Inventory management and performance, planning operating strategy definition and optimization, AOP and Production volumes coordination, and product discontinuation coordination and optimization. Planning Capabilities: System expertise including training and development, system enhancement, planning SPOC for cross functional projects, establishing planning standards and system usage adherence. Key Success Measures:Service - global fill rate and fill rate on time targets. Inventory - DFC days forward coverage, DOH days on hand, average inventory value $M. Cost and sustainability - productivity targets and budget management. Agility - ownership to drive breakthrough in material supply lead time (WALT). Initiatives - deliver Supply Chain readiness for Innovation from supplier E2E readiness to the Plant. 100% completion on time of all people management processes for your Planning team. Leadership and development of your Planning team. DEI targets and initiatives. Core responsibilities:Define and lead medium to long-term planning strategies, aligned with the Hub's and the wider business' vision, setting goals and standards of performance in line with the KPIs. Clearly communicate and engage the team and wider business stakeholders in the strategies to ensure successful delivery. Define and lead the long-term supplier strategy, engaging with Procurement as appropriate, to deliver balanced service, cash and cost. Build reliable and strategic relationships with stakeholders across a global network to deliver targets and strategy. Define the organisation design ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time. Budget management for the total area, including air freight, finding the most responsible way to send our products for the environment and cost / Responsible for the air freight budget and. Ensuring spending of budget is in line with target and the relevant glidepath delivery. Manage inventory performance to deliver targets. Engage with suppliers' leadership teams to deliver best in class service and agility level. Drive clear agility program with suppliers to deliver shorter and agile Lead times using process improvement tools (e. g. , VSM). Define planning improvement processes with suppliers in line with procurement strategy (JIT delivery, VMI, B2B implementation) and ensure successful implementation. Define proper capacity management with the supplier in line with safety stock policies. Lead the Full Innovations E2E for Supply Planning. Assess Supplier global capacity with base business input including detailed work at process level. Share Intelligible Summary and recommendation to Project team including Service/Cash and Cost Risks. Lead the team to deliver best in practice execution in the following processes (as applicable by Planning area), across the full end to end Supply Chain: Initiative Planning - planning readiness to launch new products to markets. Material Supply - strategic supplier management (capacity/performance) including working with suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time. Production Planning - working with remote plants, creating their production plans and ensuring capacity. Deployment and Availability Planning - ensuring the right products get to the right distribution centers and communicating with local market teams regarding supply. Master Data - Creating new Supply Chain Master Data or correcting errors. Supply Chain Performance - deliver annual glide paths and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in Inventory and Fill Rate. TPM - Working with the TPM network Globally to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in Inventory and Fill Rate and innovation. Developing the team:Define and set individual and team goals, standards of performance and KPIs in line with the strategy, ensuring stretch and accountability to deliver. Create a culture of inclusivity and self-owned development within your team leading by example. Lead the development of skills and competencies from new starter to experienced team member. Create a collaborative and globally integrated team, with the other areas, where process and learns are shared to foster a 'one team' culture. Role model the meaningful review of performance through the annual appraisal process and continuous touch points throughout year. Ensure 100% completion of your direct reports and the wider team for all people initiatives (such as goal setting, performance reviews, mandatory training completion, Code of Conduct, merit review, succession planning) and ensure the strategic action plan is completed on time and in full. Coach and engage Planning Managers in people management and developing their teams to ensure talent retention and succession pipelines are created. Talent mapping and succession planning across the team to ensure there is a robust talent pipeline. Continuous improvement:Lead the development and improvement of processes and tools using analytical and problem- solving skills. Lead the Continuous Improvement Program (Pareto, Gap Analysis, Root Cause Analysis) and action plan to close the gaps. Set a culture of continuous improvement by challenging and encouraging the wider team to develop their ideas/ways of working (e. g. , PDCA). Find opportunities to create change and lead the team through change by setting the right tone and approach with regular direction setting. Project management:Provide strategic input to the team in the project management of Supply Chain projects. Engage partners throughout the supply chain to ensure aligned direction and collaborative working relationships. Lead regional and global projects as necessary, ensuring success by aligning resources, approach, and priority setting. KEY INTERFACES :Supply Chain Leadership Team Factory Operations/EXO Operations Suppliers Plant General Managers and Leadership Teams DC Leaders Supply Chain Markets leaders HR Finance Procurement Marketing Motivating, enabling and leading a large team across multiple levels. Significant planning experience including material planning, production planning and supply planning. Strong operational planning experience with understanding of material/FG Planning systems (SMART, E2Open, SAP) and Procurement concept (Firm, Trade, Forecast, order system). Relationship building with senior level professionals. Defining and leading medium-term strategy. Collaborating and influencing with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level. Identifying, leading, and delivering change Proven experience understanding the innovation process and ability to influence innovations allocation (suppliers, network, factory, design) with key stakeholders.
