The CIB Data Protection Office is part of CIB RISK Operational Risk Management (ORM) Department within BNP Paribas. It steers the second Line of Defense for Privacy-related issues, based on a network of correspondents mostly appointed within Risk ORM teams. The DPO monitors the application of the regulations relating to the protection of personal data subject to personal data processing activities within CIB, bringing support in its advisory role to LOD1.

Its activity is part of the overall governance of personal data protection deployed throughout BNP Paribas Group and it is based on the following key responsibilities:

• Management of relations with external stakeholders, including data subjects, CNIL and supervisory authorities responsible for personal data, in relation with the Territory DPOs appointed by BNP Paribas S.A. in each location where CIB is present
• Supervision of the general framework for personal data protection within CIB; Review and support for the implementation of personal data protection applicable regulations and policies in connection with CIB Functions, ITO, Métiers and Legal department
• Monitoring of CIB personal data related processes, including Privacy by Design, Record of Processing Activities
• Deployment of Privacy training and awareness sessions in coordination with the Data Protection first Line of Defense teams
• Definition and implementation of second level controls and conduct of independent testing on personal data protection

MISSION

As the Privacy Program Manager is positioned within RISK function and will report to CIB Business Line DPO, you will be responsible for the worldwide scope composed of Securities Services, Global Market and Global Banking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Responsibilities

• Lead Project Management for CIB Data Protection Office roadmap, team objectives and project portfolio. Matters related to organization and framework related to personal data protection within the scope of CIB DPO
• Lead meetings, workshops or internal trainings, using pertinent techniques and providing perceptive results. Support organisation or internal clients in implementing programs in relation to Privacy aspects and CIB DPO scope of responsibilities and project outcomes, and follow-up outcomes with clients
• Lead Functional support to CIB DPO team, in relation to Data Protection risks monitoring and reporting activities, using  key metrics by the Global Data Protection and RISK ORM community and reporting mechanisms
• Foster a collective and integrated risk culture and attitude to Data Protection and CIB DPO contributions thereto, by taking responsibility for the delivery of presentations and reporting for clients and management
• Steer the Community of Territory DPOs and DPCs throughout CIB regions (EMEA, APAC, AMERICAS), keeping them informed on CIB central projects and initiatives and gathering and relevant contribution or escalation from regional and/or local stakeholders

Collaborative Responsibilities

• Contribute to committees and forums on / in relation to personal data protection covering Data Protection related risks at CIB Business Line level
• Support communications, training and awareness initiatives managed by the CIB DPO
• Contribute to RISK ORM CIB, Group DPO reporting responsibilities, leveraging on existing tools or data throughout CIB Territories
• Assist cross team projects / global initiatives associating CIB DPO team
• Support coordination of the Data Protection Officer / Correspondent network across CIB and its entities (global)

WHAT ARE WE SEEKING?

• Solid Experience in Project Management
• Strong interest and first experience Data Protection and Cyber Security topics – CIPP/E is preferrable
• Developing understanding of the regulatory environment
• Multi-media: active knowledge and experience of digital technologies
• Fluent in English (mandatory)  and French or Spanish (desired)
• Previous experience into Project Management or Consulting field
