The Department of Molecular Toxicology seeks a creative and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow. The position is placed within the Toxicoproteomics group, led by Emmy-Noether-Group leader Kristin Schubert. In this position, the fellow will investigate molecular mechanisms linking chemical exposure to inflammation and adipose tissue dysfunction. The research fellow will use quantitative proteomics approaches to define molecular changes induced in human immune cells and adipocytes by exposure to environmental chemicals of concern at the bulk and single-cell levels. In addition, a strong focus on the role of posttranslational protein modifications is expected, including functional validations using complementary methods. The position requires a solid background in molecular wet-lab techniques and reliable handling of R. The start of the project will preferably be the 1 st of June 2024.
