Your main responsibilities
Project planning and design of process machines and systems in the field of electrolysis.
- Creation of layout plans, isometrics, and 3D models of process plants.
- Preparation of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), bill of materials, support drawings, pipe classes, and piping lists.
- Support in basic and detailed engineering up to installation for plants in the (petro)chemical, energy, and oil and gas industries.
- Coordination with mechanical engineers for pipe stress analysis.
- Coordination of interfaces with other departments and support in project execution.
- Assistance in mechanical design of apparatus in plant construction.
- Management and supervision of external engineering services in the field of pipeline construction.
- In addition to the listed tasks, the jobholder is obligated to carry out other reasonable individual assignments as instructed by the management if they are inherent to the position or arise out of operational necessity.
Your profile
- Successfully completed technical education or degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of relevant professional experience and industry-specific knowledge, ideally in the energy and pipeline construction sectors.
- Knowledge of chemical plant construction in the (petro)chemical, energy, and oil and gas industries.
- Professional experience in pipeline design. Familiarity with piping of plants based on P&IDs and layout plans.
- Experience with pipe classes and application of relevant norms and regulations.
- Experience with pipe static calculations and support concept design is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD-based design (Autodesk Plant3D and Solidworks).
- Excellent MS Office skills and preferably knowledge of industry-specific software (Aspen Plus, Conval, etc.).
- Fluent written and spoken English and German; knowledge of Italian or French is advantageous.
