The Opportunity
The Sr. Specialist Quality Assurance (m/f/d) works out of our location in Wiesbaden (Abbott GmbH) in the Abbott Diabetes Care division that is focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Responsibility for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Independently contributes to Quality System processes which may include training, corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) activities, product and process planning, and quality audits.
- Determining quality attributes and requirements and providing technical assistance.
- Managing project quality escalations and works cross-functionally with appropriate SMEs.
- Responsibility for managing and tracking responses to regulatory agencies.
- Completing independently documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
- Understanding and complying with applicable EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Identifying technical risks and consequences for projects.
- Recommending appropriate action and driving functional performance to ensure that cross-functional standards are met.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Quality function role, preferable in regulatory industry
- Experience in Post Market Surveillance and Complain handling.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
- Well-developed interpersonal skills required to form resonant relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and in a timely fashion.
- Must communicate effectively (verbal and written) with supervisors and peers.
- Excellent English skills required.
