YOUR MISSION
As PMO Manager your mission is to coordinate and optimize the day-to-day work for the contracted (external & internal) and running projects. You overlook and develop operational procedures and you make strategic decisions based on company objectives.
As a project manager, you also take on responsibility for space agency contracted development projects for microgravity research facilities and experiments with the main focus on life science applications.
YOUR TASKS
PMO Manager:
- Coordinate OTOCOQ across all ongoing projects
- Enhance and uphold project management and control processes and tools
- Assist in enhancing overall company processes
- Develop skill management and training strategies for employees (with support from the HR team)
- Create and maintain HR resource planning and processes
- Manage negotiations, contracts, and opportunity management (CCNs)
- Foster relationships with space agencies, political entities, customers, and key suppliers
- Contribute to company strategy and provide support to senior management
Project Manager
- Accountable project lead for all development Phases OTOCOQ (Phase A/B, Phase C/D)
- Contribution and support of system engineering and MAIT aspects during all development phases
- Representation of projects in front of customers and customer reviews as PDR, CDR, FAR etc. (above all agencies like ESA, DLR, NASA etc.)
- Accountable for internal and external project reporting
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Dipl.-Ing., Master or similar in a technical discipline
- Strong technical knowledge with expertise in corporate management, procurement & logistics, human resources, and skills management
- Ability to identify synergies and potential cost-saving opportunities
- Affinity for statistics and data analysis is advantageous
- Solid professional experience in successfully executing projects valued at over €1 million with project durations exceeding 2 years
- Previous experience in executing projects contracted by space agencies, particularly ESA, DLR, and NASA (including Fixed-Firm Price and cost reimbursement contracts), is advantageous
- Familiarity with qualification/verification, as well as PA & Safety of human space flight, based on relevant ECSS, SSP, and INCOSE standards, is beneficial
- Experience in EU projects is advantageous
- Knowledge or experience in projects related to life science systems is beneficial
- Fluent proficiency in both English and German languages
