Then you might be the right fit for a position in a joint European project Research Infrastructure Access in NAnoscience & nanotechnology (RIANA)! The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science - Neutron Methods (JCNS-4) operates at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching near Munich a suite of high-performance neutron scattering instruments which allow performing cutting-edge research which contributes substantially to solving the grand challenges of science, society, and industry!
We are looking to recruit a
Industrial and scientific partners with high specialization in nanoscience and nanotechnology often do not employ the full breadth of techniques to obtain the optimal output for their research. RIANA connects a wide range of European methodological scientists and provides openly support and conduction of experiments within all partners. JCNS is specialized on (neutron) scattering experiments and aims at directing projects to the best neutron instruments within the League of European Neutron Sources (LENS). For this task we need you as a specialist who can bring high-level science to world-leading instruments. Your tasks in detail:

Place of employment: Garching (Munich)
We offer you an exciting and varied role in an international and interdisciplinary working environment. The position is for a fixed term of two years. Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group 13, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
