We are looking for a (Senior) Credit Risk Manager (f/m/d) who optimizes and steers credit risks across the E.ON Group and manages wholesale credit risks for E.ON Energy Market GmbH. You will be part of a highly qualified and motivated team. You will work closely with stakeholders at E.ON's headquarters, risk managers in business units and also liaise with external counterparties to keep E.ON connected to the energy markets in Europe and secure the supply of our customers.

- You enhance credit risk optimization across the E.ON group, and support regions by fostering harmonization, and best practice sharing as well as by pragmatically supporting system implementation and compliance.
- You are core contact for and functionally steer a portfolio of counterparties, regions and limits within the E.ON Group, while actively cooperating with Market Risk and Finance towards an optimal market credit, and liquidity management.
- You are responsible for improving/developing dashboards with Power BI or Tableau for targeted reporting to senior management. Based on this you prepare detailed credit recommendations and decision proposals for e.g. the E.ON SE Risk Committee.
- You will be responsible for the negotiation of credit concepts for standard master trading agreements (EFET, ISDA, MNA, GTMA etc.)
- You are representing credit risk in New Product Approval, and Single Transaction Approval processes, i.e. assessing, monitoring, managing, and stress-testing credit risk impact including structuring of credit support
- You feel comfortable dealing with internal and external auditors, and ensure all time compliance with E.ON credit risk policy.
- You are responsible for timely and accurate risk (concentration) identification, quantification on single-name and portfolio level and execution of credit risk mitigating transactions (e.g., triangulations) in cooperation with the portfolio management team.
- You actively strengthen the credit risk management framework, including the support of required policy and procedure updates, limit breach, and incident management.
- You monitor customer related trends as well as macro-economic, and industry specific information to ensure early identification of material credit risks and to be a trustful sparring partner for our traders.
- A convincing background
- Several years of experience in a credit risk management function in (European) energy trading. Or you have been working in a commodity trading environment, consulting, insurance, hedge fund or banking industry with a strong credit or market risk management focus.
- You demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving, are highly organized, and able to work to tight deadlines.
- You enjoy having an impact by driving continuous improvement through further developing our analytical toolbox, processes, models, and policies.
- Experience with systems like e.g., rms or Allegro, with data structuring and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.) and programming skills, preferably in Python and SQL.
- You shine with excellent communication skills and are able to confidently, and efficiently engage with stakeholders at all levels in English and (preferably also) in German
- Positive attitude, motivated to drive change, and openness for continuous learning.
