Job description
Your Tasks
- Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset accounting
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings in accordance with HGB; additional IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Support the audits and closely collaborate with the auditors
- Prepare VAT returns and tax returns together with the tax consultants and work on other tax topics
- Contribute to further development of accounting processes and structures
Our Requirements
- Degree with focus on accounting, taxes or auditing, or comparable education e.g. certified accountant,
tax specialist, or equivalent work experience - Min. 3 years work experience
- You have a deep understanding of accounting rules and accounting principles according to HGB; additional experience in IFRS is an advantage
- You have knowledge of / experience in VAT returns and other tax topics
- You have a strong understanding of accounting processes, as well as risks and controls in the various
accounting processes - Analytical mind set, conscientious, independent, and structured way of working
- Very good team and communication skills at all levels
- Very good language skills in German and English
- Very good knowledge of MS Office esp. Excel and accounting systems, ideally S/4 Hana skills
- Experience in US-stock market reporting and/or Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) is an advantage
