Overview
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret financial data to identify business trends and issues. They will excel in communicating key insights to company leadership, driving informed decision-making processes.
Your mission
As a Junior Accounting Specialist, your role involves supporting various aspects of financial operations and reporting. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and preparing financial statements. Additionally, you will contribute to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations while assisting in the analysis of financial data to support decision-making processes.
Your tasks as a Junior Accounting Specialist will include:
- Actively participate in the monthly and quarterly reporting process.
- Maintain and update financial systems and databases.
- Conduct bank account set-up and reconciliation.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and presentations.
- Assist the CFO in deploying various projects related to working capital, financial risk management, and funding.
- Initiate and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Handle invoicing processes.
- Document processes and workflows across the organization
Your profile
- MSc in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking & Insurance, Financial Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline.
- Ability to work independently with a curious and challenge-driven mindset.
- Previous experience in the finance department of a corporation or financial institution is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel/VBA programming is essential.
- Strong MS Office Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent soft skills, including teamwork and communication.
- Experience with Netsuite or an ERP system is highly desirable.
- Experience in the Accounting department is a plus.
- Experience in the startup/scale-up environment is advantageous.
- Fluency in German is beneficial.
