Highlights

The Product Manager Europe will optimize the performance of the bio-polymer based product line in the European markets, leveraging a deep understanding of added value products in horticulture. Growcoon is rapidly becoming a standard in propagation. Nygaia is also a fully biodegradable product for high-tech growers. Both products offer enormous growth potential. The Product Manager Europe will be the driver of that growth.

What are you going to do?

You will be responsible for driving the development, production, marketing and sales of existing and new innovative biopolymer based growing media products. In this role, you will effectively communicate with growers and other stakeholders in the horticulture sector in several countries in mid, east and south Europe to understand their needs and develop products that align with their requirements. Furthermore, you will focus on improving products and production processes to ensure successful implementation. You will play a crucial role in devising effective go-to-market strategies and providing support to the sales teams through value-added marketing tools. Additionally, you will create comprehensive marketing plans and craft compelling product propositions.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Develop, update, and implement marketing plans tailored to specific countries and regions
• Act as a business partner for the sales team
• Take the lead in acquiring new customers and supporting key accounts, including active engagement with global key accounts in vertical farming, horizontal hydroponics, soft fruits, and propagation sectors
• Manage a proactive pipeline for new customers and identify opportunities for expanding the usage of biopolymer products into new market segments
• Conduct regular sales team and sales partner trainings
• Lead marketing research and gather market intelligence
• Coordinate demand planning processes for the assigned product group
• Collaborate with marketing communication teams to drive promotional activities
• Foster strong relationships both internally and externally

Profile

We are seeking a product manager with a solid horticulture background, preferably experienced with propagation of young plants. You are a pragmatic individual who enjoys spending a significant amount of time with growers and other parties in the horticultural sector. You have a strong understanding of product management and are capable of devising and executing introduction plans and go-to-market strategies. Additionally, you excel in coordinating collaboration, are capable of providing direction when needed, and you are a driven individual.

Hard Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture
• Preferably a Masters' in Marketing/Business Administration (or equivalent gained through experience)
• Good understanding of controlled environment horticulture/soilless growing
• Preferably experience with propagation
• Fluent in English, adequate knowledge of German
• 5+ years' experience in horticulture, preferably in a product management or marketing position
• Developing and executing product marketing plans
