We build the ecosystem for the Cosmos blockchains, providing the smart contract layer. Our flagship product is the CosmWasm module, a blockchain abstraction layer utilizing Wasm for transaction execution. On top of that, we provide utilities to improve the CosmWasm experience - libraries for blockchain storage access, the testing framework, the high-level Smart Contract abstraction library, and more. The Role:

We are looking for a Rust developer with Golang knowledge and a DevOps attitude who understands the importance of user-friendly APIs to join our team and contribute to the development of CosmWasm. CosmWasm, an extension of Cosmos, is an open-source smart contract platform that enables the creation of smart contracts using the Rust programming language.

This role involves working on all our libraries including:

• CosmWasm virtual machine
• CosmWasm standard library
• Storage Plus, the CosmWasm storage access library
• Multitest, the Smart Contracts testing framework, and any new testing tools maintained by Confio
• Sylvia Framework, the CosmWasm high-level abstraction framework

On top of that, the role is about understanding the whole CosmWasm stack, starting from developer experience through testing and, finally, the deployment of smart contracts.

We expect the candidate to have high problem-solving and communication skills. The focus of this role is to help our customers solve all sorts of problems they face with our stack. That includes helping them utilize our APIs in the best ways possible and improving our stack to fit our customers' needs.

An important part of this role involves working with part of the stack with is written in Golang, and communication between Go and Rust is essential. Consequently, you must be comfortable navigating the Golang codebase and are willing to contribute to it when necessary.

You:

• are proficient in the Rust programming language;
• know the Go programming language basics;
• have a blockchain experience;
• value code quality and testing;
• are happy to talk with technical users and help them solve their problems;
• have strong communication skills, and feel comfortable speaking with external parties;
• understand the significance of proper documentation and API design for public libraries;
• understand the software development process, including working with GitHub in a distributed environment;
• can communicate fluently in English (verbal and written);
• are enthusiastic about working on an open-source project where all your work is publicly available;
• possess an analytical mindset, a strong eagerness to learn, and a penchant for innovative solutions;
• proactively suggest new ideas for the software you work on, and are comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment;
• can work independently while still being a team player;
• reside within a time zone that is +/- 2 hours from Berlin .
