Job description
This is a great opportunity to join our Finance team in Germany. This role will be based in our new Pulheim office near Cologne and will be full time.
Here is a summary of the key areas of responsibilities: - Manage the finance operation and responsibility of a direct report.
- Manage the monthly accounting close per deadlines.
- Prepare and submit monthly management accounts.
- Manage all monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis and analysis.
- Manage internal financial controls and prepare and support the annual audit, liaising and meeting the requirements of external auditor partners.
- Manage the cash/working capital planning day to day.
- Monitor company’s monthly AR activities.
- Manage Annual Budget process and provide quarterly forecast updates.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
What you need to apply: - A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in German accounting/financial management.
- Fluent in German
- A good level of spoken and written English (C1/C2 Ideally)
- A degree level qualification in Accountancy and Finance or a registered accountant.
- Excellent working knowledge of Sage 200 Accounts or advanced level of other ERP software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, under minimal supervision.
- Comfortable performing everyday transactional tasks alongside the strategic tasks that this role will dictate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
