Job description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities       

As part of Airbus, Defense and Space, Taufkirchen, Germany you will have the following responsibilities:

Process planning in the area of mechanical/thermal AIT and reporting to the AIT manager;

Merging external and internal AIT requirements and creating corresponding integration procedures integration procedures ;

Accompanying the integration of the individual subsystems and the overall instrument under clean room conditions (ISO class 5) and preparation of the necessary documentation;

Preparation and execution of the space tests under ISO class 5 clean room conditions;

Participation in test campaigns at home and abroad;

Independent mechanical integration of high-precision mechanisms and optical instruments  with the help of special tools (pretension unit, lifting devices);

Collaboration in the system integration of optical satellite subsystems and components;

Collaboration on all cross-departmental problems;

Installation and calibration of strain gauges on structural components with corresponding evaluation of results;

Support with the alignment of the system;

Preparation and execution of mechanical and thermal environmental tests;

Preparation and execution of functional tests at component and system level

Technical documentation of MAIT methods (specifications, procedures, reports& hellip;)

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

Aerospace at least Master / Diploma programme or Mechanical engineering at least Master's degree / diploma programme;

Assertiveness as well as an independent and structured way of working;

Ability to work in a team;

A high level of quality awareness and a meticulous approach to work (accuracy in planning and preparing preparation of AIT requirements);

Willingness to work flexible hours, 2-shift and weekend work in certain project phases must be given;

The job requires a willingness to travel abroad (several times a year for approx. 3 weeks to the UK and Belgium);

Aerospace at least 3 years;

Many years of experience in the mechanical/ thermal/ electrical integration of sensitive (optical) flight hardware is required min. 3 years;

Experience in mechanical assembly planning, integration & test is required min. 3 years;

Experience with MAIT product and process documentation is required min. 3 years;

Experience with MAIT production equipment & working methods is required min. 3 years;

MS-Office at least knowledge of detailed functions;

MS-Project at least knowledge of detailed functions;

MS-Visio at least knowledge of detailed functions;

SAP at least knowledge of detailed functions;

Catia V5 at least knowledge of detailed functions;

doors at least knowledge of detailed functions;

Knowledge of VBA and macro creation is desirable;

Knowledge of Windchill / DMU4All / MATLAB / JIRA / C++ is an advantage;

Many years of experience in ISO class 8 and 5 cleanroom environments with ESD-critical components is mandatory;

Good understanding of logistics and procurement processes inside and outside the plant is desirable;

Experience with the following processes and documents, KIP, TRR, NRB, QR and AR is desirable;

Experience with applicable standards (ECSS, EN, MIL-STD, ISO) is desirable;

Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
