Furtwangen University is offering a research position in the Faculty Mechanical and Medical Engineering as

Academic Assistant (male / female / non-binary)

Institute for microsystem technololgy (iMST) as a fixed-term contract for 36 months. Working hours per week will be 39,50 (100 %). It may be possible to apply for a part-time position. Employment conditions are regulated by the Ger­man TV-L regulations (max. E13 TV-L), depending on responsibilities and qualifications of the individual candidate. The position is located at Furtwangen campus. We do expect you to be prepared to undertake tasks at the other campuses, too, however.

Your tasks will include:

We are looking for: A university degree (master's degree) in an engineering or natural science discipline is ex­pected, ideally with practical experience in microtechnology and thin-film technology. Good knowledge of English (business fluent) and German (B1) is required. Knowledge in the field of THz, in particular THz filters, in FEM simulation as well as experience in research projects is desired. Willingness and active work on a further qualification (doctorate) is desired. For appli­cants with specific knowledge for the project, a postdoc position is also possible.
