The role is responsible for government, management and execution of projects within the site as well as raising awareness and maturity of the group processes related to project management. Bultens’ ambition is to standardize the project model and governance framework into one Group standard owned by this position.
Plant Project Manager runs projects within the plant and in some cases globally, contributes to the plant project development and implementation of global project processes, conducts pre-studies, reports status to Group Project Management Office Manager and Local Managing Director as well as supports the local team. The role works closely with Group Project Management Office.
The role reports to Managing Director/Plant Manager Bulten GmbH.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and manage the interfaces between various project phases and various contracts including design, procurement, commissioning and start-up.
- Manage and lead the projects in line with the set structure and responsibilities to meet project objective, schedule, quality, cost, safety and risk mitigation requirements
- Contribute to the development, implement and follow up of the group Project Management Office project model, procedures and processes locally
- Monitor the plant development plan and actively find ways to improve existing and future set up
- Handling administrative duties of running the projects e.g. follow up and report out to stakeholders on the status of the on-going projects and to follow up the local/site resource allocation
- Support project leaders with monitoring and the control of all cost aspects of the project
- Conduct pre-studies with a business case approach, e.g. to investigate an extension of our manufacturing capabilities or new technology
- Coordinates all parties involved in the planning, design, and construction process by assigning tasks and providing guidance for specific functions
- Executing projects in the role as Plant Project Manager, within the plant and occasionally cross functional projects of the Bulten Group European locations, e.g. new software implementations, implementation of new manufacturing processes or similar projects in an industrial context as directed by the group PMO manager.
- Follow up, document and report status to Managing Director and the group Project Management Office Manager.
- Educating, training and coaching of other project leaders/managers will also be a key task for this position

Candidate Profile
- Experience from managing projects according to a set project model
- Experience from either leading a Project Management Office or working within a Project Management Office structure
- Education in Project Management
- Experience from managerial positions within a line organisation is meritorious
- Experience from manufacturing operations is meritorious
- Ability to coach project managers and evaluate how projects are managed
- Ability to work collaboratively, engage comfortably and work effectively in global organizations, lead and participate in collaborative decision-making, make effective presentations and engage with peers from other geographies and cultures
- English advanced level; written and verbal
