Our Akzo Nobel Hilden GmbH is looking for the next possible date for a

Global Coil Radiation Cure Manager (m/f/d) 

Your Responsibilities 

• Responsibility for the "Coil Ebeam" area and all activities related to the development of new Coil Coating products.
• Establishment and leadership of a team for the creation of the "Coil Ebeam" department.
• Main contact person for the Steering Committee: Exchange on development strategy, Reporting on status and progress and Clarification of needed resources/support
• Building and developing a deep understanding of the scientific principles of Radcure to support regional R&D teams in managing associated projects.
• Utilizing advanced data analysis for formulation and troubleshooting in coating development.
• Assuming technical IP responsibility for Coil activities, overseeing patent review and creation.
• Building a comprehensive network of upstream and downstream stakeholders.
• Responsibility for the laboratory and facilities, with improvements in accordance with QHSE standards.

People Management

• Disciplinary and professional leadership of employees in accordance with AkzoNobel's leadership principles
• Development and coaching of employees
• Ensuring that the team has the competencies and resources for the effective implementation of projects
• Responsibility for personnel decisions in collaboration with the HR Business Partner
  

Your requirements

• Completed degree in the field of (coating) chemistry, preferably a PhD or Master's, or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive and well-founded professional experience, preferably in the coil-coating industry.
• Comprehensive and specialized knowledge in electron beam and UV curing of coatings.
• Extensive experience in product development and project management, including experience in technology conversion programs.
• Several years of experience in personnel management, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
• Ability to collaborate with various departments and hierarchies.
• Fluent English skills are mandatory; German language skills are advantageous.

Global Coil Radiation Cure Manager (m/w/d) 

Ihre Aufgaben

• Verantwortung für den Bereich „Coil Ebeam“ und alle Aktivitäten zur Entwicklung neuer Coil Coating Produkte
• Aufbau und Leitung eines Teams zur Schaffung einer der „Coil Ebeam“ Abteilung
• Hauptansprechpartner für das Steering Commitee: Austausch zur Entwicklungsstrategie, Reporting zum Stand und zu Fortschritten, Klärung benötigter Ressourcen / Support
• Aufbau und Entwicklung eines tiefen Verständnisses der wissenschaftlichen Prinzipien von Radcure, um die regionalen R&D -Teams bei der Verwaltung der damit verbundenen Projekte zu unterstützen
• Nutzen fortschrittlicher Datenanalyse zur Formulierung und Problemlösung bei der Beschichtungsentwicklung
• Übernahme der technischen IP-Verantwortung für Coil-Aktivitäten, Beaufsichtigung der Patentprüfung und -erstellung
• Aufbau eines umfassenden Netzwerks von vor- und nachgelagerten Interessengruppen
• Verantwortung für das Labor und die Einrichtungen sowie Verbesserung gemäß QHSE Standards

People Management

• Disziplinarische und fachliche Führung von Mitarbeitern analog des Führungsleitbildes von AkzoNobel
• Entwicklung und Coaching der Mitarbeiter
• Sicherstellung, dass das Team über die Kompetenzen und Ressourcen zur effektiven Umsetzung von Projekten verfügt
• Verantwortung für Personalentscheidungen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem HR Business Partner

Ihre Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich (Beschichtungs-)Chemie, vorzugsweise Promotion oder Master, oder verfleichbarer Abschluss
• Langjährige, fundierte Berufserfahrung, vorzugsweise in der Coil-Coating Industrie
• Umfassende und spezialisierte Kenntnisse in der Elektronenstrahl- und UV-Härtung von Beschichtungen
• Umfassende Erfahrung in der Produktentwicklung und im Projektmanagement, einschließlich Erfahrung in Technologieumwandlungsprogrammen
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Mitarbeiterführung sowie Fähigkeit, das Team zu inspirieren und zu motivieren
• Fähigkeit zur Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Abteilungen und Hierarchien 
• Fließende Englischkenntnisse zwingend erforderlich; Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
