Category Manager - Plastics and Steel

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the plastics and steel industries, as well as excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills.

The primary responsibility of the Category Manager will be to develop and execute category strategies that will drive growth and profitability. This will involve working closely with suppliers, customers, and other internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. The Category Manager will also be responsible for managing the category budget and ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of success in a similar role. You must also be a strong communicator and have the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies that will drive growth and profitability
• Work closely with suppliers, customers, and other internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
• Manage the category budget and ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms
• Monitor the market and identify new trends and opportunities
• Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the category
• Track and analyze category performance data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a category management role
• Strong understanding of the plastics and steel industries
• Excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• English proficiency - German preferred
