Full Professorship (W3) in Physical Chemistry: Structure and Dynamics of Matter

Fulltime, Salary level W 3

The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Sciences seeks to fill this position by April 1, 2025.

The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up program, the Excellence Strategy.

The research focus of the professorship will be in a modern field of experimental Physical Chemistry and complement existing research activities at the Department of Chemistry. Core research areas of the Department are Chemical Materials Science and Chemical Biology. Existing collaborations with the Departments of Physics and Biology shall be continued and further be strengthened by the appointment. The successful candidate will teach all aspects of Physical Chemistry in the Department’s degree programs. These include BSc and MSc programs in Chemistry, Nanoscience, and Life Science.

In all other respects, the hiring requirements for professorships follow from § 47 paragraph 1,2 of the Landeshochschulgesetz.
