Job description
As a Controller (m/f/d) at StudySmarter, you will have a direct impact on the fastest growing Edtech company in Europe, used by 6 Mio+ students and pupils. Together with you, we will work towards our goal of helping everyone achieve their learning goals and making StudySmarter the world’s #1 learning platform.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review the international payroll with our external payroll providers
- Review the management reporting packages with external bookkeeping firms and Head of Finance
- Month on Month analysis of the Financial statements
- Maintain and support the travel expense processes
- Ensure supplier invoices are compliant and maintain processes to ensure only compliant supplier invoices are accepted
- Own the implementation of a purchase order system
- Maintain and continuously improve the credit card (Moss) expenditure process
- Maintain the accruals and prepayments
- Take part in implementing a new ERP system
- Assisting with the accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Define and maintain process for internal control
- Participation in audits
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Finance
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCEED
- 5 or more years of experience working in international accounting or controlling
- Chartered accountancy qualification or master’s degree in accounting or finance
- You have Ambition! You want to move things
- You are approachable and enjoy working with other departments
- You are fluent in English and preferably you know German at a professional level
- You have very good Excel skills and can learn adapt well to new ERP systems
