Job description

Title: Category Manager Metals (m/f/d)

My client is looking for an experienced individual to join their Procurement team as a Category Manager in the Bayern region, Germany. My client is an industry-leading Automotive Manufacturing supplier. You will be responsible for either Castings or Steel and leading the respective category.

Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies aimed at reducing costs while maintaining quality standards
- Manage vendor relationships through effective communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various departments including engineering & design
- Monitor market trends related to metal prices
- Work closely with Suppliers - negotiating and maintaining relationships

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum 4+ year's experience in Purchasing/Procurement
- Good analytical skills
- Proven track record of Purchasing processes
