Vishay Siliconix is a leader in the development of power management solutions for computing, consumer, industrial, automotive, and medical applications.

We are current looking for a  Director of Market Development  to join our growing team that develops power solutions at the heart of computing systems. This position will be located in Germany.

In this position, the successful candidate will drive the high-performance business in Vishay’s SiC group. They will work with an experienced engineering team to develop leading solutions for the computing market. This is a senior role with the opportunity to create real impact within the organization and build a promising career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Drive and develop the Silicon Carbide (SiC) power semiconductor business targeting the high-performance commercial/industrial and automotive markets to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
• Work closely with business development, sales and regional marketing to ensure successful go-to-market strategy for our new and existing SiC product portfolio.
• Work directly with leading customers to foster partnerships, develop business, listen to their needs, and define roadmap with differentiated solutions.
• Collaborate with internal research & development and design engineering teams to define products which deliver products needed by the market.
• Work closely with system applications and design teams to ensure technical product requirements are defined and documented.
• Validate business case for new projects and products based on realistic market dynamics.
• Motivate team and management internally by presenting strategy, successes, and products.
• Analyze and comprehend market data and competitive landscape to ensure success of product strategy and differentiation.
• Advocate internally for the customer and support when needed to ensure design in success and continuity of existing business inline with market trends.
• Experience:
• Successful candidates will have most of the following:
• 15+ years’ experience in marketing (including technical roles) in Power Management Semiconductor market.
• 5+ years’ experience working in power management solutions for the high-performance commercial/industrial and automotive markets.
• Extensive experience presenting to and working with customers. Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• The ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• The ability to support and mentor less experienced team members.

Education Level: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

Travel Required: Yes, 20% of the time.
