Do you want to help shape the future and contribute your knowledge of process analytical technology to a leading company? Then be our new scientist (m/f/d) Process Analytical Technology at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarters in Einbeck , Germany . The contract is full-time and limited to 2 years as part of a parental leave replacement.
As a member of the R&D Chemical Analytics group, your focus will be on the development, application and control of spectroscopic and optical analytical techniques for the evaluation and control of quality and environmental parameters for all KWS business units. Aufgaben:
  • Calibration, validation, data analysis and further development of existing mobile (harvesters) and stationary spectroscopic applications for real-time monitoring of quality parameters
  • Participation in the strategic development of customer-specific spectroscopic PAT methods (handheld, THz)
  • Planning, execution and evaluation of tests for customer-specific applications
  • Participation in quality management for the PAT team as well as for the laboratories of the chemistry department
  • Contact person for customers, including support and troubleshooting by phone, e-mail and in person
Qualifikationsprofil:
  • Completed university degree (preferably PhD) in process analytics, agronomy, biotechnology, chemistry, physics, process engineering or comparable
  • Experience in the application of optical measurement systems, in particular near-infrared spectroscopy
  • Experience in chemometrics and multivariate calibration or machine learning, ideally with Matlab
  • High level of commitment and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary team
  • Willingness to cooperate as well as communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English is required and a good knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Class B driving licence required; BE is desirable
  • Willingness to take occasional business trips to other European countries (10%)
