The function furthermore executes all transactional and knowledge-based general ledger processes, such as: general ledger booking, accrual accounting, intercompany accounting, asset accounting as well as group accounting. Your tasks:
- Prepare financial statements and execute local closing according to IFRS and Local GAAP
- Execute and support operational activities within all areas of general ledger regarding monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
- Undertake all closing activities leading to a timely and accurate delivery of financial statements: posting of petty cash, personal accruals and salaries, other accruals, posting of asset capitalization and depreciation, IFRS 16 and 9, and deferred taxes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Adjust open intragroup items and execute intragroup reconsolidation
Your profile:
Academic degree in business administration, accounting, or a comparable field of study
- Proven experience in accounting based on IFRS, and preferably on UK law (Local GAAP)
Experience in working with relevant IT systems (MS Office and ERP)
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high-volume transactions
- Excellent communication skills, willingness to cooperate and ability to work in a team
- Analytical skills, a hands-on mentality and extraordinary service attitude
