This is a Fixed Term Contract 9-12 months to begin with. Function: Human Resources Reports to: VP Rewards Location: UK or Europe Role purpose We are seeking a skilled and commercial HR professional to play a crucial role in our post-acquisition harmonization project following the acquisition of Lumen EMEA. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning and harmonizing contractual terms, including compensation structures, ensuring a simplified and consistent employee experience across the organization. There are two phases to this programme.
- Initially, the programme will cascade through the organisation layer by layer and seek to move Lumen EMEA employees into Colt contracts. At the initial stages of the programme, we will need to negotiate with each individual so we are looking for people to pull together offers and support HR and managers on the negotiations.
- Later in the year there is going to be a sizeable population that still needs to be integrated collectively and therefore at that point we will switch to a mass integration methodology. That methodology will need to planned in advance and agreed with senior management.
Key Accountabilities - Work closely with the local HR teams to review and map contractual terms and conditions including but not limited to working hours, holiday allowances, notice periods and compensation including but not limited to annual bonuses, cash LTIPs, and country-specific allowances across the organisation.
- In the initial stages of the program, collaborate with HR and managers and in some cases employees to negotiate and finalize offers as they transition into Colt contracts, ensuring a smooth and transparent integration process.
- Prepare for the mass integration phase by developing a clear plan of execution for the collective integration of a sizeable employee population. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement mass integration methodologies efficiently.
- Conduct due diligence on existing compensation arrangements, scrutinize data for inconsistencies, and develop a clear plan for execution to avoid confusion and duplication of work. Collaborate with relevant teams to model cost scenarios for integration, including forecasting for future years.
- Engage in employee consultation processes, including collaboration with Works Councils in Europe, to ensure transparency and alignment with employee expectations during the integration.
- Create comprehensive documentation of integration processes, updates, and outcomes. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
Job Requirements - Prior experience in HR and preferably previous experience in reward management and integration.
- Excellent analytical skills to conduct due diligence on compensation structures, scrutinize data, and model cost scenarios.
- Strong negotiation skills to engage with individual employees during the initial integration stages and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
- Effective communication skills to engage with employees, Works Councils, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven project management skills to develop and execute a clear plan for compensation integration, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including local and functional HR, the operations team and other workstreams, to achieve integration goals.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, evolving from individual negotiations to mass integration methodologies as the program progresses.
