Become a part of our international Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security team inone of our deugro group locations worldwide. For the next possible date we are looking for you infulltime as Global Subcontractor Manager.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Management of the Corporate Subcontractor Management System process (Vetting of, Evaluation of, Maintaining a current validated Global listing of subcontractors)
- Ensure that the Subcontractor Management System Process is risk based and subcontractor selection and evaluation of subcontractors considers risk to all entities within the company (Finance, Operations, Compliance, QHSES, Insurance and Information Technology)
- Review and spot check evaluations performed by the subcontract management team personnel
- Foster continuous improvement by seeking out improvements of the current subcontractor management system process and or enhancements to the current software management system utilized for subcontractor management
- Lead the subcontractor management committee that is comprised of representatives from key areas of the business, chairing a quarterly meeting and or an ad hoc meeting with the committee as required
- Work with the branches to have subcontractors vetted and added to the Approved Subcontractor Listing
- Work with branch management to find alternative resolution for instances whereby subcontractors that are business essential have not or have complications in completing the vetting process
- Provide training materials for the Subcontractor Management System process and as required ensure that identified subcontractors based upon risk receive training
- Communicate on regular schedule and develop relationships with key subcontractors who can have a beneficial impact upon revenues for the company by offering internal company services to the subcontractor
- Maintain Subcontractor Management materials and information on HELIX ensuring that said information and materials are up to date and accurate
- Maintain the integrity of the data within the Subcontractor Management System Software
- Effectively communicate to the business any changes to the Subcontractor Management System Process including any changes to documentation and or relevant information
- Develop and maintain a Subcontractor Audit Program ensuring alignment with the Corporate QHSES Audit Program
- Actively monitor subcontractor performance based upon occurrence and observation reporting and taking action to support the business whereby an audit outside the Subcontractor Audit Program is required
- Ensure alignment between the Subcontractor Management System Process and the ISO standards, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 to maintain accreditation
- Support deugro group entities and affiliates on Prequalification, Tenders, Questionnaires, and planning & execution of projects as pertains to Subcontractor Management
- Support deugro group's participation in Global Supply Chain Security Programs
- Create lessons learned as pertains to the Subcontractor Management System
- Annual review for accuracy and relevance of the Subcontractor Management Risk Assessments and making required revisions
- Develop a quarterly report to supply to all Regional Presidents on subcontractor management activity as examples but not limited to:
- Number and listing of subcontractors requested for vetting by the branch,
- Number and current status of subcontractors within the vetting process,
- Subcontractors who have been suspended,
- Subcontractor involved in reported occurrences and observations; highlight any negative trends based upon a subcontractor’s performance
- Ensure time sensitive documentation for approved subcontractors is up to date within the Subcontractor Management System software
- Provide an annual report that is be a section of the annual management review provided to C-Suite
- Ensure that Business Partner Agreements are in place with approved subcontractors and whereby such agreements provide suitable protection for the company and as applicable support the branches where more thorough and detailed contracts are required
What you can contribute:
- Preferred at least 3 Years working experience in Subcontractor Selection, Evaluation and Management of Subcontractors
- Preferred higher education with a degree in business or similar discipline
- Experience within auditing of third-party service providers
- Experience of a variety of risk management processes and tools such as bowtie, HAZID, HAZOP, HIRA, SJA and PTW
- Ability to create trainings relevant to the responsibilities of the Corporate Subcontractor Manager
- Proven track record of working in the logistics industry preferably from sourcing of third-party logistics services
- Effective interpersonal skills including leadership, communication, effective negotiation and conflict resolution, team player with a proactive work ethic
- Ability to provide detailed reports
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; having multilingual communication is a plus
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and analysing technical documents
- Strong organizational, documentation and technical writing skills.
- Willingness to travel when required
- First class computer skills, proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
- A Logistics/Supply Chain Management degree preferred
