YOUR TASKS
You:
- Handle aircraft engine leasing and trading transactions, from contract drafting to negotiation and closing
- Draft, negotiate and execute other miscellaneous agreements (NDAs, maintenance agreements, warranty letters, financing documents)
- Analyze and assess any disputes and/or litigation cases in order to support management decisions; retain, instruct, manage (including cost control) external counsels in any relevant jurisdiction
- Prepare periodic reports for the management on ongoing activities
- Closely watch and monitor regulatory and other changes that are relevant to the business and may have an effect on contractual documentation or business dealings
- Be the point of contact to internal stakeholders (business departments or affiliate companies) for any legal query
- Support management with comprehensive information, reporting whenever required
- Lead ad-hoc projects as required and as assigned by management
- Handle general administration and corporate tasks
YOUR PROFILE
- Graduated with a degree in the field of law
- Master degree in air/aviation law or previous experience in aviation leasing/financing transactions
- Qualified attorney (preferably UK or NY law)
- Understanding of risks associated with different jurisdictions and ability to recommend risk mitigation measures to ensure compliance and reduce risks
- Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Eloquent communication skills; diplomacy in customer dealings and internal stakeholders discussions
- Business acumen and customer-focused approach
- High level of commitment and flexibility
- Self-starter and independent working attitude on complex projects in a fast paced environment
- Able to manage priorities and workflows within the legal team
- Excellent English proficiency and preferably additional language skills
- Good IT skills: in particular MS Office, customer relationship and contract management tools
