Bloomberg’s CTO Office is the future-looking technical and product arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design, and prototype the next generation infrastructure, hardware, and applications for the Bloomberg Terminal. Our projects include machine learning-powered products, cloud computing infrastructure and strategy, open source stewardship, natural language processing, and more. We are passionate about what we do.
The Opportunity
Today, Bloomberg participates in over 50 industry conferences annually that support ecosystem health as well as employees in their growth, development and exposure at relevant subject matter conferences. The Conference & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for promoting Bloomberg’s reputation as an innovative technology company, thought leader, and employer of choice through these events in addition to discovering new event partnership opportunities.
This individual will be responsible for working with CTO Office leaders and marketing to assess business needs, priorities and budget and manage Bloomberg’s overarching investment and presence at these events and conferences through budget oversight, conference partner outreach, contract negotiation, and brand development for the events, whether live, virtual or hybrid. Additionally, the individual should have interest and experience in communicating the ROI of these initiatives, and documenting and evolving processes, partnerships or presence to improve our metrics.
To do so, the Conference & Sponsorship Manager should be comfortable collaborating closely with cross-functional-team members including the Open Source Office, Marketing, Events (for the events execution itself), Communications, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Recruitment, Corporate Philanthropy and more.
