About the Role
- Passionate about all things data, the evangelist is a senior technical position working closely with our sales team to build Go-To[1]Market strategies, solutions and new propositions while developing and evangelizing these value propositions to existing and new stakeholders within the focus accounts.
- Being the SME lead on a defined region or account, the sales team will lean on this role to support them in creating the best possible solution to take to their clients. The role is the conduit between sales and the broader data & analytics group.
- A cross between sales and consulting, this role focuses on winning business through technical design, utilizing the technologies Wipro has available to us.
- This role will be the director of the technical solution, for which the sales team will sell.
- There will be a small amount of travel required around Europe.
Skills and Experience:
- 15+ years’ experience in IT, and 3-5 years in a similar trusted advisor\evangelist position.
- Experience in working with C levels, and a relationship builder in the tech space, internally at Wipro and externally with our clients and vendors.
- Enterprise sales knowledge and are comfortable in conversation with the sales team in finding opportunities with our clients to grow revenue, order bookings, net billable headcount and operating margin
- Understand how to work with the delivery and consulting teams and help bring them into engagements where necessary.
- Ability to envision and design new-age solutions including but not limited to white boarding, architecture, high-level design, Entity-Relationship and logical data model.
- Key SME niche in a data domain and a major cloud vendor, whether it be data architecture, automation through AI, advanced analytics, transformation, in Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Ability to work in multiple domains outside of SME, and fully create conversational solutions, end to end, for large proposals. i.e., take a solution in AWS and convert comparatively to Azure if needed.
- Closely work with a pre-sales and alliances teams, who support you in new-age, modern solution design.
- Ability to put a solution design together, with technologies outside of SME area, work with pre-sales, and practice teams, to create a solution and present it.
- Articulate and able to present those designs, receptive to constructive criticism, form a collaborative team.
- Passionate about data solutions

- Cloud data certifications
- Real time processing experience
- Proficiency with speaking German
Technology Stack:
- You should feel comfortable adding new technology to your designs, and have the ability to learn technology capabilities, comparatively to other technologies, at short notice.
- Good understanding of cloud offerings, which include Azure, AWS and GCP, and are comfortable discussing the differences in
technologies. - Broad understanding of various data management technologies, such as Snowflake, Hadoop, MarkLogic, SQL Server, Oracle,
MongoDB, Cassandra, Databricks, Synapse etc. - Ability to investigate and add various data transformation technologies to designs, such as Informatica, SSIS, Data Factory, Talend, Fivetran, DataStage etc.
- Ability to investigate and add advanced analytics to designs, such as Alteryx, Dataiku, RapidMiner, Knime, Azure ML Studio
- Ability to investigate and add data virtualizations to designs, such as AtScale, Datameer, Denodo, Tibco etc.
