We are looking for a full-time and permanent IT specialist in the field of system integration (all gender) as a reinforcement in our R&D IT team within KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Lower Saxony .
R&D IT supports, among other things, the digitalization processes within research and development, which are used in the laboratory as well as in the greenhouses and in the field and operates IT environments to invoice and store the generated data. One of the main tasks includes the support of special software and all connected peripheral devices such as label printers, scales and mobile data acquisition devices. Aufgaben:
Together with a small, well-coordinated team of experts, you will be responsible for the technical development and support of the Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS), participate in Breeding Application Technologies (BAT) projects and look after the IT systems under the responsibility of R&D IT and the associated software and hardware. In addition, you will be responsible for communication with internal customers as well as external IT service providers and will be responsible for setting up special IT equipment and ensuring that they comply with KWS IT standards. Qualifikationsprofil:

• Completed training as an IT specialist in system integration or comparable qualification
• Practical experience in the support of Windows clients and servers
• Structured way of working and analytical thinking
• Experience in error analysis and elimination of technical faults
• Good communication skills and strong customer orientation, as well as the ability to write technical documentation and knowledgebase articles
• Knowledge already acquired or the willingness to familiarize yourself with the installation and configuration of complex special software and associated peripheral devices, such as e.g. Label Printers or Scales
• General interest in new technologies and continuous training
• German and English are of course the working language

What you can (but don't have to) bring in as a plus:

• Experience with Linux servers as well as network knowledge
• In-depth hardware knowledge and corresponding hands-on experience
• Basic understanding of container environments as well as the willingness to familiarize yourself with a DevOps platform
• Initial experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is an advantage
