Capital Project Manager
We are looking to recruit for a Capital Project Manager to join the Engineering team that will drive a portfolio of multiple projects in various stages, from development to execution, with an eye for managing cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage a global portfolio of capital projects, ensuring adherence to cost, scope, and schedule.
· Manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting to maintain financial control and profitability.
· Collaborate with internal and external engineering resources to develop project deliverables and documentation.
· Drive safety and constructability reviews, ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
· Facilitate communication and resolution of technical and commercial issues to maintain project alignment.
· Oversee the Management of Change process, coordinating with stakeholders to address PHA requirements and ensure project success.
The ideal candidates’ technical capabilities:
· Project Management: Proficiency in managing large-scale capital projects ideally within Sustainability from development to execution, ensuring adherence to cost, scope, and schedule.
· Engineering Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a solid understanding of chemical plant operations and processes.
· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable engineering codes/standards, equipment procurement, and construction practices.
· Financial Management: Experience in budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure project profitability.
· Risk Management: Skill in analyzing and managing project risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Experience leading and managing large capital projects, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering codes/standards, equipment procurement, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in SAP and project management tools like MS Project and Primavera.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Prior experience in chemical or industrial plant operations and construction management
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or equivalent experience in continuous improvement projects.
- Formal training and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
