We are looking for a working student for a R&D project on virtual coupling of trains. Within the project team, your objectives will be to support the project lead with different tasks.

Your tasks

• Research on existing projects and Intellectual Property for virtual coupling e.g., within shift2rail or Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking
• Link with experts from different Alstom sites across Europe for collaboration
• Discuss research results with experts, project lead and document results
• Identify development needs and bring ideas how to approach them
• Support the projects structuring (scope, schedule, budget)

Your Profile

• Enrolled in engineering studies with IT/computer engineering emphasis. Preferably in the master's degree, e.g., software engineering, communication systems or similar
• Interest in mobility/railway operations
• Safe handling of MS Office and simulation programs/programming
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proactive and systematic way of working
• English and German fluently
