HSE MANAGER
Location: Bayreuth
Come and join on us on arguably the world's most productive wind farm project as a HSE Manager on a full-time basis working hybrid 2/3 days remote per week.
The individual in this role is accountable for the planning, execution, coordination, and supervision of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) initiatives within project parameters. This includes adapting to project complexity, the extent of work, business practices, contractual obligations, and applicable laws, standards, and regulations. Additionally, the role involves providing assistance in HSE activities across the broader Group
Day to day responsibilities:
* Ensuring adherence to all contractual and legal Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements at the project level.
* Assisting in the formulation of HSE plans and other associated documents, aligning with PPL's HSE management system and contractual HSE obligations.
* Addressing project-specific Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) queries as they arise.
* Reporting and investigating accidents, incidents, illnesses, dangerous occurrences, and near misses following the prescribed procedures of both PPL and the client.
* Conducting relevant meetings focused on specific investigations and thoroughly reviewing all associated SHE recommendations.
* Advocating for the safety and well-being of all individuals in the workplace and those impacted by SHE activities.
* Ensuring the collection of SHE metrics, including data on waste and energy consumption, on a monthly basis, encompassing subcontractors.
* Analyzing safety observation maps and furnishing the outcomes of the analysis.
* Active participation in preliminary and detailed Hazard Identification (HAZID) meetings.
Education & Professional Background:
* Possess a technical university degree in engineering, accompanied by extensive experience in the pertinent international and multicultural sector (e.g., EPCI work with a specialization in construction and HAZID methodologies).
* Strong team collaboration skills.
* Demonstrated problem-solving proficiency.
* Notable analytical thinking capabilities.
* Proficiency in both German and English, achieving language skills at the C1 level or above.
