Job description
The Manager Test Automation is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the test automation team, which aims at automating the verification and validation of software modules and system testing from the connectivity product line products. The Manager is also interfacing & managing communication between this team and other departments as well as with our customers, suppliers and contractors within his/her scope.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage the test automation team including coaching and mentoring of the team
- Take care of high-level task, project and resource planning related to test automation in collaboration with the project managers and upper management
- Be involved in daily hands-on engineering tasks in the area of test automation
- Be a consultant for other projects and departments in the area of test automation
- Be responsible for applying test automation methodologies and processes
- Participate to requirements reviews
- Plan and conduct test automation tasks, such as defining tool environment and managing test cases
- Plan the necessary test rack and lab equipment to conduct automated system testing
- Release official documentation including DO-178C artefacts in collaboration with the involved project management and other teams
- Interface with suppliers and external parties including customers
- Request and manage annual budget for the hardware and tools needs of the test automation team
- Participate to the hiring process of test automation engineers
- Conduct feedback meetings and annual reviews
- Identify, plan and request department and individual training needs
- Responsible for the application of occupational health and safety laws as well as for the well-being of the team
- Be a role model: Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution, and enforce professional behavior, expectations, and group values
- Continuously contribute to improve established processes

Requirements
- Master`s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 5+ years of experience working as a software and/ or system tester
- 3+ years of experience working in a Management role
- Good knowledge of test automation tools (e.g. robot, pytest, selenium)
- Good knowledge of programming and script languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
- Software testing certification (e.g. ISTQB) is advantageous
- IT networking skills (routing, switching, firewall, network services, Tcpdump/Wireshark) are advantageous
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and its command lines is advantageous
