Job description
Company Profile: Our client is a major automotive supplier with established relationships with all European OEMs. They develop and manufacture pressed parts, complex body assemblies and outer skin parts (class A). Their manufacturing capacities enable them to serve the lightweight design trend in the automotive industry.
Job Description:
- Cross-site material group responsibility for production material
- Commercial purchasing responsibility for all plants
- Implementation of projects to save costs, rationalize and improve supplier performance
- Defining a supplier strategy for the group
- Decision on supplier evaluation
- Conducting annual price negotiations
- Management of the purchasing activities within the commodity together with the local antennas
- Definition and monitoring of KPI dashboard to track supplier and purchasing performance within each commodity
Qualification
- Completed studies in the field of business administration, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in purchasing, preferably in an international company in the automotive or automotive supplier industry
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Open-minded, independent way of working and ability to work in a team
- Negotiation security, good communication, goal-oriented and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of using the MS Office package, experience with SAP desirable
- Proficient in German and English
