Job description

Our client, an international law firm, is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Accountant. The successful candidate will join a multicultural and dedicated team of 5. As a Senior Accountant, you will liaise with the AP and GL accountants by dealing with general accounting matters and accounts payable daily activities. A prior experience of 3 to 4 experience is required as well as fluency in both French and English for day-to-day activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with the ability to provide leadership in an area of high importance to the firm.

Your responsibilities:

• Support in the monthly closing procedures.
• Participate actively in standard accounting tasks like managing accounts payable, verifying and approving invoices, and conducting reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions.
• Reviewing expenses, payroll documentation, payment batches, etc.
• Follow up and reconcile inter-office transactions on a monthly basis, coordinating with other offices in the network.
• Ensure financial integrity by executing internal control activities effectively.
• Generate financial reports as needed by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Engage in local and group projects across network communities to enhance process efficiency.

Your profile:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Prior experience in a comparable role within a professional services firm (such as Big4, law firm, etc.) would be advantageous.
• Solid comprehension of Luxembourg and EU VAT principles.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and LUXGAAP.
• Proficiency in French with a good command of English.
• Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Effective communication abilities, both oral and written.
• Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive demeanor with a practical and hands-on approach.
• Adaptability and capability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
